The Axonode 10G BiDi SFP+ 20km solution uses two complementary modules at opposite ends of one single-mode fiber strand.

2. Matched modules and optical specifications
The two models must be deployed as a complementary pair. Model A transmits at 1270nm and receives at 1330nm; Model B transmits at 1330nm and receives at 1270nm.

Complementary wavelengths allow transmit and receive traffic to share one fiber strand. This helps preserve fiber resources for ISP access, campus interconnection, enterprise edge networks and point-to-point fiber-constrained links.
